There is so much dignity in the moments of motherhood that happen in the home. That is where the hard work is done. That is the part that should be remembered and replayed. The happy, staged moments where everyone is dressed up have a beauty and sweetness of their own, but I want to offer a different spin on the family portrait. I want to capture mothers in the beautiful moments that are doing little, mundane things to build up big, wonderful people — diaper changing, meal-making, meltdown navigating. Those are moments that, little by little, make a family. I want to remind you how beautiful it is. Sometimes we get weighed down with the mental strain, the stench of not getting to shower for a few days, dealing with the terrible two’s, and we can’t step back and notice the beauty of it all. Let me show you.
